    Rahul Deshmukh is Head of Industry and Solutions Marketing at Cloudera. Rahul and his team lead marketing activities that highlight customer, partner success and showcase how Hadoop can transform businesses in various solutions areas and industries. Prior to joining Cloudera, Rahul was an early employee in the marketing team at Splunk. Previously, Rahul spent his career as an analytics practitioner with roles at eBay, Dell.     David is responsible for advising on Data Science Strategy and Big Data Architecture, and for research in Digital Business Platforms supporting Mobile, Social, Cloud and Big Data based innovation. David has over 20 years of IT industry experience in a variety of technical, consulting, solution marketing, and operational roles. Recently he was a Principal Solution Architect at Hewlett-Packard, working with enterprise customers across the Asia Pacific region. Previous experience includes performance and scalability of database systems, next generation datacentre technology architecture, and development of multilingual software by distributed teams. Most of these roles have involved the deployment of leading edge technologies. David holds Bachelor’s degrees in Computing Science and Electrical Engineering (Honours) and a Master’s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of New South Wales in Australia.

    David is responsible for Intel’s Enterprise Solutions strategy throughout Australia and New Zealand. In his role, David oversees the delivery of Intel business technology solutions as the enterprise comes to grips with the changing face of technology. In particular, with the Internet of Things emerging as the next industrial revolution, David is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of Intel’s local IoT strategy, providing expertise in helping businesses securely capture, filter, process, store and analyse data for key business insights. In addition to IoT, big data, and cloud computing solutions, David’s team also focuses on providing suitable end user client computing platforms. His team concentrates on key industries such as banking, telecommunications, transport, health, government and scientific research. David has been with Intel for more than 10 years. Prior to his current role, David spearheaded much of Intel’s growth during his seven years as Business Development Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Throughout that time he developed and nurtured strong customer relationships, with a focus on the Federal and New South Wales Government.

    As Regional Technology Strategist for SAS Asia Pacific, LaiPhong Tran is part of the Global Technology Practice responsible for providing thought leadership in creating strategic roadmaps for customers through the provision of business advisory services. LaiPhong champions best practice enterprise architecture and operates as a domain expert in Hadoop, Big Data, High-Performance Analytics, Platform Modernisation, EDW/BI transformation and Enterprise Decision Management. LaiPhong has advised and engaged on a large number of projects across many industry sectors ranging from Finance, Telecommunications to Utility and Government, involving organisations such as the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, IAG, Allianz, Optus, Origin Energy, Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore), Krungsri Group (Thailand), RHB Bank (Malaysia), TelkomSel (Indonesia) and State Govt of Andhra Pradesh (India). Having been with SAS since 1992, LaiPhong had held various positions including Principal Solution Architect, Senior Technical Account Manager, Technical Support Manager, Education Services Manager and Founding Head of the SAS Brisbane office.
