Re-Running the Cloudera Manager Upgrade Wizard

The first time you log in to the Cloudera Manager server after upgrading your Cloudera Manager software, the upgrade wizard runs. If you did not complete the wizard at that time, or if you had hosts that were unavailable at that time and still need to be upgraded, you can re-run the upgrade wizard from the Hosts page.

To re-run the Upgrade Wizard:

  1. Go to the Hosts tab.
  2. Click Re-run Host Upgrade Wizard. This takes you back through the installation wizard to upgrade Cloudera Manager on your hosts as necessary.
  3. Specify whether you want to install from the repo that matches your Cloudera Manager server, or from a custom repo. You should only specify the custom option if you have a private repo of the correct version.
  4. You will need to provide the SSH credentials for the hosts you want to upgrade.

When you click Continue this will upgrade Cloudera Manager on all the currently-managed hosts. You cannot search for new hosts through this process. To add hosts to your cluster, use the Add Hosts command.
