Jeff Hammerbacher, co-founder and vice president of products at Cloudera, is participating in a panel discussion titled, “Data Center Transformations,” that will put a spotlight on what database technologies are thriving and what the future holds for these solutions. This discussion will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Stanford Accel Symposium on Digital Media and Technology.
The one-day show will focus on discussing the changing nature of media, technology and investing. More specifically, panelists will be challenged to share what sets apart the recent technology champions, who have been able to bear through this tumultuous climate. Hammerbacher will be speaking alongside executives from companies including Yahoo!, Facebook, Zynga, Nimbula, Membase and Fusion-io.
Hammerbacher has extensive experience working in the field of data analytics. Prior to Cloudera, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Accel Partners. Before Accel, he conceived, built and led the data team at Facebook where his team was responsible for driving Apache project Hive, a data warehouse infrastructure built on top of Apache Hadoop and Cassandra, a distributed storage system designed to scale across commodity servers.
