The wide scale adoption of Hadoop has provided organizations the ability to collect and analyze more data than ever before. The next natural step is to use this data to power real-time, interactive applications, and HBase is at the heart of this transition. In this talk we discuss the tradeoffs HBase makes to support applications, highlight several real examples, and explore what this means for taking Hadoop beyond data warehousing and ETL.
