Mike co-founded Cloudera in 2008 and served as its CEO until 2013, when he took on his current role of chief strategy officer (CSO.) As CSO, Mike is responsible for Cloudera’s product strategy, open source leadership, engineering alignment, and direct engagement with customers. Prior to Cloudera Mike was CEO of Sleepycat Software, makers of Berkeley DB, the open source embedded database engine. Mike spent two years at Oracle Corporation as vice president for Embedded Technologies after Oracle’s acquisition of Sleepycat in 2006. Prior to joining Sleepycat, Mike held technical and business positions at database vendors Britton Lee, Illustra Information Technologies, and Informix Software. Mike has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in computer science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Joydeep is passionate about enabling enterprise customers with leading edge data management and analytics products. At Cloudera, he leads product management and marketing for data warehousing technologies. Joydeep has spent most of his career building market leading database products in companies such as Informix, Sybase and SAP. Besides frequently speaking in conferences, webcasts, and customer forums, he has also authored several articles in leading publications and is a named inventor in DBMS software patents.

George Vetticaden is Vice President of Product Management for the Data-In-Motion (DIM) business unit at Cloudera. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic vision and concerted delivery across all the products within the Cloudera Data Flow (CDF) product suite including Cloudera Edge Data Management (CEM) powered by MiNifi, Cloudera Flow Management (CFM) powered by Apache NiFi, and Cloudera Stream Processing (CSP) powered by Kafka, Spark Streaming and Streams Messaging Manager. Over the last 7 years at Cloudera and Hortonworks, George has spent considerable time in the field helping enterprises build a scalable, real-time streaming data applications that collects, curates, and analyzes data so customers gain key insights for immediate actionable intelligence. In his previous role, George was the Director of Solutions Engineering where he led a team of 15 big data senior solution architects helping large enterprise customers with use case inception, design, architecture, to implementation of use cases monetizing data with Hadoop. In addition, he is also a committer on the Apache Metron project. George graduated from Trinity University with a BA in Computer Science.

Bethann Noble is a director of product marketing at Cloudera, responsible for driving marketing and strategy initiatives in support of Cloudera machine learning solutions. Previously, Bethann held roles in developer and product marketing, technical sales, and software engineering at IBM, with several years’ experience in high-performance computing and big data and analytics technologies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. Screen reader support enabled.
