Amr Awadallah, Ph.D.


Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel, he served as vice president of product intelligence engineering at Yahoo! and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence. Amr joined Yahoo! after they acquired his first startup, VivaSmart, in July 2000. Amr holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in electrical engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Joydeep Das


Joydeep is passionate about enabling enterprise customers with leading edge data management and analytics products. At Cloudera, he leads product management and marketing for data warehousing technologies. Joydeep has spent most of his career building market leading database products in companies such as Informix, Sybase and SAP. Besides frequently speaking in conferences, webcasts, and customer forums, he has also authored several articles in leading publications and is a named inventor in DBMS software patents.

Philippe Marseille


Starting his career as a developer focusing on databases technologies for a defense contractor, Philippe then moved on to big data technologies for a large video game company. He’s now a Big Data Solutions Engineer at Cloudera focusing on helping clients understand the value of the Cloudera ecosystem and guiding them through their Big Data and streaming analytics journeys.

Bethann Noble


Bethann Noble is a director of product marketing at Cloudera, responsible for driving marketing and strategy initiatives in support of Cloudera machine learning solutions. Previously, Bethann held roles in developer and product marketing, technical sales, and software engineering at IBM, with several years’ experience in high-performance computing and big data and analytics technologies. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin.
