  • Amr Awadallah, Ph.D.

    Chief Technology Officer, Cloudera

    Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr (@awadallah) was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel he served as Vice President of Product Intelligence Engineering at Yahoo!, and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence. Amr joined Yahoo after they acquired his first startup, VivaSmart, in July of 2000. Amr holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

  • Christopher Tan

    Alliance Manager - APJ, Intel

    Christopher Tan has 20+ years of experience in the IT & Telecommunication industry. As the Regional Alliance Manager, Chris is responsible for the business relationship & go to market programs with our major ISV partners across APJ. Before this role, he was the APJ Datacenter Platform Marketing Manager, owning the product marketing for Xeon & Atom server product lines. Other roles in his 11 years Intel career included the Business Development Manager for Singapore & the Enterprise Manager for South East Asia, where he manage the account relationships with large enterprise end-customers, OEM partners and service providers. Before joining Intel, Christopher held multiple APAC Global Account Management & technical sales roles with telecommunication & networking multi-nationals like Nortel, Avaya & Lucent Technologies. He also led the IT organization at the National University Hospital in 2004. Christopher graduated from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) degree and has post graduate Diplomas in Marketing Management from the Singapore Institute of Management and Network Engineering from the Information & Communication Institute of Singapore at NTU.

    CEO of Tata Insights and Quants Division

    Deep Thomas is a Global business leader with over 20 years of experience in delivering sustained increasing profitability through business transformation leveraging novel processes, information and Digital capabilities, Advanced analytics, and Big data solutions. Deep is currently the CEO of Tata Insights and Quants, a Big Data company that is incubated as the Tata Groups’ Analytics and Data powerhouse. Prior to joining Tata Group, Deep led Citigroup’s Global Decision Management Centre of Excellence for its Global Retail Banking and Consumer Finance Business. He has also held various leadership positions with HSBC and American Express in India and US, respectively, where he led high performing large-scale multi-site advanced analytics, direct marketing, and risk management functions. Deep is Computer Science Engineer with an MS (Information Systems) and MBA (Marketing) from Arizona State University. He also holds several patents in Decision Science and Information Capabilities.

  • Dr. Laurent Mignet

    Global Head for Data & Analytics, Airtel

    Dr. Laurent Mignet is currently holding the Global Head for Data & Analytics in the Engineering department of Airtel. His role is to transform, improve and operate the analytics stacks for airtel Wireless, Wireline, DTH, B2B, payment Bank and network for India and countries in Africa. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science from INRIA / CNAM France before spending two years at post-doctorate and lecturer in the Computer Science department of University of Toronto, Canada. After joining IBM Research in India, he held several positions for IBM including the technical head for Airtel analytic stacks across countries, enterprise architect for airtel DMX delivery, global delivery architect and System Service Operation for airtel and CTO for the Indian domestic branch of IBM Business Service. His innovation skills are demonstrated by co-authoring a dozen patents granted in USPTO, co-authoring more than thirty five research papers in top academic conferences and journals as well as several first of kind deliveries in term of stacks deployed and scalability required.

    Managing Director and CEO, NxtGen

    With over 22 years of experience in IT & Telecom industry, AS Rajgopal is currently the CEO and MD of NxtGen Datacenter & Cloud Technologies. Prior to joining NxtGen, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Tulip Datacenter, and also worked as the Vice President – Sales at Reliance Communications. He also launched Dell’s Server & Storage business in India and served as the Marketing Manager for Windows at Microsoft India. Rajgopal has a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics & Communication) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Systems Management & Design, and is an Executive Alumni of IIM Bangalore, ISB and Kellogg School of Marketing, Chicago.

    Somnath Bhadury is Director for APJ Next Gen Data Management Business at Informatica, leading efforts to create cutting-edge data-centric solutions that deliver high business value to customers and partners across the region. Having been with the organization for over 10 years, Somnath has designed and executed award winning data centric solutions in areas like IoT and Big Data Streaming Analytics. In his earlier roles with Informatica, he has executed some of the largest technology projects that Informatica has delivered worldwide to Banking & Financial Services, Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Services industries. He developed service-delivery best practices that form part of the Informatica Velocity Methodology. He is also an active contributor to the product roadmap development for Informatica solutions, working closely with the Product Management Team from Informatica R&D facility. His experience prior to Informatica includes functional SAP consulting with an award-winning SAP project implementation recognized by the Harvard Business Review. Prior to this, he worked in the core manufacturing industry, supporting production operations, product development and project execution functions.
