Before co-founding Cloudera in 2008, Amr (@awadallah) was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners. Prior to joining Accel he served as Vice President of Product Intelligence Engineering at Yahoo!, and ran one of the very first organizations to use Hadoop for data analysis and business intelligence. Amr joined Yahoo after they acquired his first startup, VivaSmart, in July of 2000. Amr holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, and a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Damien is leading the Global Technology Innovation team and as such he is driving the innovation program globally to foster intrapreneurship. The team is also managing the ‘Big Data Lab’ to incubate new technologies and ideas in the big data space. Damien joined IMS Health in January 2001 after successfully launching a start-up in the web search engine European market. At IMS Health, Damien was initially responsible for technical support of global services, networks and applications with clients in Europe and Japan. He then became Commercial Operations Manager, where he was involved in running key sales operation processes as well as Knowledge Management and BI projects in Europe. From 2007 to 2010, he held the position of Global Service Account Manager on the Sanofi-Aventis account where he was responsible for global service revenue and client success. Most recently, Damien was the Global Business Lead for CRM, in charge of internal sales process, collaboration and analytics globally. Damien holds an MSc in Information Systems & Computing from the University of Greenwhich (UK) as well as a Master in International Business & Management from the Bochum University of Applied Sciences (DE) and is an “Ingénieur-Maître” from the University of Clermont-Ferrand (FR). Sean is Director of Data Science, based in London. Before Cloudera, he founded Myrrix Ltd. (now the Oryx project) to commercialize large-scale real-time learning on Hadoop. He is on the Apache Spark PMC and co-author of Advanced Analytics with Spark. Previously, Sean was a senior engineer at Google. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a BA from Harvard University.

Cristina Roa has been with Securonix since 2012. Her current role is VP Global Strategic Initiatives at Securonix and she is responsible for driving our Big Data Security Analytics adoption across the globe working with customers and partners and internally with Product Development, Marketing and Sales. In her previous role at Securonix, Cristina was VP of Eastern North America, EMEA and APJ and helped grow the company from its initial revenues to market dominance in the UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics) space. Prior to Securonix, Cristina held sales and sales leadership positions at SailPoint (Identity and Access Management), Credent (EndPoint Encryption – bought by Dell), Mercury Interactive (IT Governance and Performance Testing – bought by HP), BEA (Web Infrastructure – bought by Oracle), Bowstreet (Web Services Application Development – bought by IBM), Tivoli (Enterprise Systems Management – bought by IBM), Sun Microsystems (Unix Systems – bought by Oracle) and NCR (Unix Systems).
