Cloudera acquired Gazzang, a big data security company, immediately granting Cloudera EDH and Flex Customers with access to enterprise grade key management and encryption for all data-at-rest stored inside the Hadoop cluster.
As of December 13, 2014, Gazzang’s Support System has moved to Cloudera's Support Portal. Customer's are now able to submit tickets on both the legacy Gazzang products and other Cloudera products from the Cloudera Support Portal.
In addition, Cloudera has added new encryption and key management fields to the cluster asset records in Cloudera’s Support Portal, allowing customers to easily track encryption information for each of their CDH clusters.
