Whether it's advancing AI engineering, building a stronger employee experience, or helping customers succeed through a growing partner ecosystem, meaningful recognition often highlights the work happening behind the scenes every day.
Over the past few months, we’ve received a number of awards and honors spanning technology, culture, marketing, and business leadership. With so much excitement, we wanted to take a moment to put the spotlight on everything the amazing teams within Cloudera have been up to. Here are three recent award wins that highlight what makes our teams, and the people behind them, stand out.
Enterprise AI has reached a critical inflection point where success is defined much less by who has access to state-of-the-art models. Instead, the next phase of this evolution will center around who builds, evaluates, and operates AI systems that deliver meaningful ROI for businesses. Recently, two Clouderans demonstrated the team’s expertise and leadership in this area with a major win at the Weights & Biases AI agent workshop in Seattle. Participants were given the task of building, optimizing, and evaluating agentic AI systems under real-world constraints, providing the perfect opportunity to showcase the practical implications of applied AI.
In a competition alongside more than 60 engineers and researchers from leading organizations, Neelabh Pant, Director of Global AI, earned first place overall for his entry. What set Pant’s approach apart was a focus on evaluation-driven engineering, designing a more effective reward signal, evaluating the system's outputs, and using observability tools to identify and fix failures. Joining Pant at the event was fellow Clouderan, Mason Jung, who ended the competition with an impressive top 10 finish. His approach to the challenge was built around agile prototyping, disciplined manual optimization, and line-by-line analysis of system logs.
This winning result showcases the depth of Cloudera’s applied AI expertise and engineering rigor—demonstrating the same capabilities our customers can rely on to turn ambitious AI ideas into production-ready solutions at scale.
What makes an organization successful stretches beyond purely business-level activity. The incredible teams that comprise Cloudera need an environment that is safe, inclusive, and ready to support the needs of a broad range of groups across the globe.
With that in mind, we turn our attention to some recent recognition by the 2026 Ragan HR Awards. Cloudera, in addition to receiving honorable mentions in multiple categories, was named the winner of the HR and Communications Collaboration award.
The award recognized the strong partnership between Cloudera’s human resources and communications teams, strengthening employee engagement across the entire company. What set Cloudera apart in this win was the team’s positioning of internal communications as a series of standalone initiatives. From there, the HR team and communications teams established a coordinated strategy that aligned around a shared set of goals.
And in that collaborative environment, the teams were able to drive a variety of standout programs like the Week of Learning, Season of Service, ERG celebrations, and the Culture & Impact Report. By combining thoughtful planning with consistent storytelling and execution, the partnership created a more unified employee experience—one recognized by Ragan as a model for building trust, engagement, and culture at scale.
One of the biggest differentiators for Cloudera is the company’s partner ecosystem. The Clouderans that lead our partner marketing organization have established a strong network that helps extend the value of Cloudera’s data and AI platform, offering solutions for companies of any size.
With the release of CRN’s Women of the Channel list, Cloudera’s leadership was on full display as six Clouderans were recognized:
Michelle Hoover, SVP, Global Alliances, Channels
Natascha Lee, Sr. Director, Global Partner Marketing
Valaretha Brown, Sr. Partner Marketing Manager
Jessica Espinoza, Sr. Manager, Cloud Partner Marketing
Janet O'Sullivan, Sr. Partner Marketing Manager, EMEA, APAC4
The annual recognition is a celebration of leaders who help shape the future of the IT channel, strengthening strategic partnerships and generating more value for customers. As AI continues to scale and evolve, this recognition underscores the expertise and leadership that continue to make Cloudera a trusted partner across the industry.
These awards represent a snapshot of the success Clouderans have this quarter . In addition to the recognitions mentioned above, various teams have also walked away with wins that include:
