PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) is an Indonesian financial institution that brings in more than $2 billion in revenue each year, while serving more than 33 million customers as of 2024. Overcoming technological slowdown

In the past, BCA identified issues related to model degradation, slow and manual deployments, inefficient virtual machine (VM) resource utilization, and a lack of monitoring. To address these concerns, BCA turned to Cloudera and its on-premises and AI products to overcome these challenges and enhance efficiency, accelerate development, and drive extraordinary business growth.

BCA modernized its ML infrastructure by adopting Cloudera AI, successfully transforming its manual, VM-based workflows into a scalable and centrally governed platform. Using Cloudera AI Workbench for experimentation and deployment, and Cloudera AI Registry for model versioning and monitoring, BCA embedded MLOps practices across its teams. Automated CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring, and retraining enabled faster, more reliable delivery of ML models while ensuring consistent governance and reproducibility.

Prioritizing virtual capabilities and growth

By transitioning from a manual, inefficient VM-based workflow to a scalable, automated MLOps platform with Cloudera, BCA increased efficiency, spent less time on arduous tasks, and achieved viable growth. 

With the implementation of its new technology infrastructure, BCA has positioned itself to continue serving existing customers effectively while also being prepared for any new business opportunities that may arise from its increased social media presence, continuing its ability to serve Indonesia in the process.
