Overview

This 2−day instructor-led course provides a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to Apache Ozone, the next-generation hybrid storage service offering versatility and out-of-the-box compatibility. Participants will learn the architecture and internal operations of Ozone, gaining the practical skills to safely install and configure secure clusters. They will understand how to manage files and objects, control replication, and successfully handle failover and recovery scenarios. The course blends foundational object storage concepts with day-to-day administration, guiding teams through the best practices required to maintain and secure modern data environments. Participants will learn to perform essential maintenance tasks to keep their storage infrastructure running smoothly.

Finally, participants will learn about monitoring the environment using the Recon service. They will also gain hands-on experience in executing baseline tests and performance tuning to maximize cluster efficiency and safely exceed the limitations of traditional HDFS.
