Acceldata says "data never leaves your premises." Is that accurate?

It depends on which Acceldata product. Acceldata's ADOC product runs as an Acceldata-hosted control plane on AWS that receives metadata and telemetry from customer data sources. Acceldata's ADM platform offers cloud, on-prem, and hybrid deployment options. Cloudera Observability Premium runs fully on premises for air-gapped environments, including the control plane, with observability data remaining inside the customer environment by default.

Acceldata claims zero-downtime upgrades. What's the reality?

ODP in-place upgrades require a planned 8-hour maintenance window, with rollback in under 4 hours if something goes wrong. Eight hours of planned downtime, every upgrade cycle.
